Opportunities abound for the 2024-25 winter season at the Inland Woods + Trails Winter Trail Center located at The Bethel Resort, 21 Broad Street Bethel, ME 04217. From cross country skiing to snowshoeing to fat biking, we have resort quality winter trails for everyone. Open 9 am to 4 pm, 7 days a week, except in the case of inclement weather. Check out the Trail Condition page (link below) for daily updates.
We groom 25 km of ski trails for both classic and skate techniques. Our trail system offers a variety of terrain whether you are looking for a challenging workout or a lovely relaxing ski. We deeply value providing a first-class product every day with high quality grooming to provide the smoothest skate lanes and best classic tracks mother nature will allow. Check our Trail Conditions page for daily updates.
Our Fat Bike and Snowshoe trail system consists of 10 mi of groomed single track separate from the ski trails. Scenic trails winding around Mill Brook and through beautiful white pine and hardwood forests are favorites for snowshoeing and fat biking alike. More adventurous bikers can ride the popular Helix trail and climb for rewarding views on Fluffernutter. Check out our IWT Winter Trail System maps.
Don’t have your own gear? No problem. Check out our Winter Rental information here. We offer ski, snowshoe and fat bike rentals at our Winter Trail Center next to The Mill Brook Tavern at The Bethel Inn Resort. We rent from a fleet of Fischer Voyager Crown classic skis and Fisher Skate Cut skate skis.
The lightweight Crescent Moon Snowshoes are very popular for excursions on our scenic loops. The unique shape helps for easy walking and the bindings have simple velcro straps that will fit your winter boots.
We partner with Barker Mountain Bikes to offer hourly fat bike rentals so you can try out winter biking or get a bike for a friend. Call ahead to reserve as sizes and bikes are limited.
