Mud Season Updates (as of 5/12/2025)
Bethel Village Trails are officially open for the season for mountain biking and hiking!
The trail crew is busy cleaning up and repairing trails. We would love your help! If you would like to volunteer, please contact andy@woodsandtrails.org. We will update as trails open, but for now, here is the status:
- The Bethel Community Forest and Bingham Forest are closed to all vehicular traffic. This includes parking lots on Locke Mountain Road and at 305 North Road and all trails (mountain biking/singletrack, hiking, the Community Access Trail System.) The Locke Mountain Road gate will remain closed until further notice. Do not block the gate.
- All additional mountain bike trails in our network are also closed, including Bacon Hill and the Pennacook Area Community Trails (PACT). This includes all foot traffic.
- UPDATED: The following hiking trails are open: Bethel Village Trails, Jordan Mountain, Mystery Mountain, Bethel Community Forest West, Kendall Brook Forest (from Pine Ridge Road, the Vernon Street entrance is closed), Mount Will, and Woodsum Spur (Puzzle Mountain)
