We’re excited to announce that the Pennacook Area Community Trails system is completed and ready to ride!

We would like to give a shout out and special thanks to those who helped make this all happen:

– The Town of Rumford, the Rumford Water District, and RSU 10 for land access
– Wondrous Trails for the building of the trails
– The Maine Recreational Trails Program for making this project a reality through its funding.
– Poland Spring Community Fund, Maine Community Foundation, Maine West and the Taxpayers of Rumford for their funding of this project.
-The Inland Woods + Trails PACT committee for the project planning, coordination, and passion!

Folks wishing to use this trails system can access the system by parking at the lower lot of the Mountain Valley High School, or by parking at the Hosmer field parking area and biking to the school on the roads from there.

Included in this system are 4 miles of single track and 2 miles of double track trails!

Check out the Pennacook Area Community Trails page for rules, maps, and more information.
